Nevers Street Festival

LES ZACCROS D’MA RUE, has occupied the urban space since 2000 with theatre, music, visual arts, dance, puppet shows, fanfare, ambulatory bands... to favour emotion, strangeness, burlesque...
THEIR free of charge, varied and eclectic programmes combined with the diversity of the venues where the shows are performed, allowed them to gain the unanimous satisfaction of the audience.

The 10th edition of the Festival des Arts de la Rue de Nevers will take place
from July 5th to July 14th 2009.

The festival will be launched on the evening of July 5th with “La BUTTE en rouge”, a musical, theatrical and participative parade which will start from the quarters of Nevers and lead to the Palais Ducal. The Melba Company will guide this show with the participation of the social centres.
From July 6th to July 9th, the “Balades dans l’Agglo” will take place: about fifteen shows will be displayed throughout Nevers and its suburbs.
In order to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the festival, HORS LES RAILS (out of the rails) with the ZIC ZAZOU Company will take place. This musical, railway and intermunicipal plan is aimed to link up the south of the department (Saincaize) to the north (Vauzelles) via Nevers, the central town.
Then from July 10th to July 13th, The Arts de la Rue will invade the whole city centre of Nevers with street theatre, circus, entresorts, dance, music, plastic installations in a urban environment and creations of the festival such as “coups de pouce”.
Last but not least on July 14th, the Festival will end in a spectacular way with the ambulatory company KARNAVIRES and fireworks.

During these ten days, 55 French or European professional companies will perform 240 shows entirely free of charge for the audience. Everybody will have their share of happiness...
